HULLABALOO??
Well as many will know and the many that wont, the band had a momentary blip last year with people presuming they had the right to reappear. Well with the band being at it's lowest ebb in 2006 it took alot of serious hard work to rebuild the band over the last 5 years with alot of bridge building along the way. With many 'genuine' messages of support, the general feed back from the fans was that they felt Tim, Ian and Al had the piss taken out of them...a case of thanks for the hard work now shuv off. Well the guys didnt and wont. It was at this time when some laughable comments were made about these events and though they were shamefully libellous, we as always agreed not to join in and why perpetuate the circus. It was this very situation the band sort to correct back in 2007. So........
NEW BROOM AND OLD HAND
Well with the departure of one comes another and thats Neil Harris. Neil formed the band along with Albie Slider, John Goode, Billy Bostik and Jimmy Pursey in 1975 and became the bands Lead Guitarist until late 1977. Also it was decided to go back to the original 2 guitar format and so we welcome Tony Feedback, now Tony as many know plied his skills with ANGELIC UPSTARTS but had formed the Mod outfit LONG TALL SHORTY during the revival hey day. So along with Tim V on Vocals and Al Campbell on Bass this in turn sees Ian Whitewood on drums for his 26th year as the stickman for SHAM 69.
